Hey there all!!

I was wondering, after you inspect and then disable a ship, are you required to have a cargo hold on your vessel to perform a successful docking?

I keep getting the message 'The ship denies your request to dock' every time I try to dock with ships in Dantooine. (and yes, they are disabled at that time )

Appreciate any tips here.

No, cargo holds are specifically for space mining. They serve no other purpose.

Oh, and you can't dock with a ship unless you have a mission for it. You won't get any items or credits.

Only certain ships allow you to dock with them. Specifically, mission targets or some of the large cargo ships that fly around. Not that it does anything anyway, you don't get any of the "cargo" that it tells you is on the ship when you inspect it.

The ships I was attempting to dock were both mission ships.

Both times I 1. Disabled target via engines. 2. Inspected the Ship. and 3. Attempted Docking.

Everytime I attempt the dock I still get the ship denies permission to dock.

I just want to finish a mission ..thats all

When you inspect, does it tell you "This is the cargo your looking for" or something like that? If it doesn't, chances are your mission involves finding a specific item on a ship, and you haven't found it.

The mission I am taking basically states to 'capture civilian freighter' . It doesn't tell me to look for any specific cargo. ALso, when I do inspect, it just tells me the contents if any with no other message.
