well im 1111 pilot so do i have to keep doing dutys from the trainer in talus to get up to 2222 then do missions for 3333 then get xp for 4444 and master?

no once you get to 60k xp go stand in front of trainer turn 90 degrees and talk to bothan NPC he's your tier 2 trainer
also if yoiu get bugged like I did on 4th tier 2 mission head to yavin 4 imp op to find 3rd he responded and I continued without 2nd directing me to him

Pretty much yes, you have to gind out tier 2 and 4. The Master level doesn't need XP, it's do the two missions and your done.

If you're doing duty missions, I'd move to the second trainer now, killing Tier 2 ships is four times the XP...

You can just kill stuff, but duty missions are extra credits for killing stuff.
