II am on the destryo the Crystal PiratesMothership! I receive the transmission, fight through wave after wave without getting scratched. After the first two parts, I pulled into Dath to see how much and it was 12 credits to repair 75% of damage. As you know they are all tier 4's and there is about 40 ships alltogether, so i would say my piloting skill are mediocre and my ship is the creme de la creme. All RE equipment, Level 7 weapons, Level 4 booster and Armor, Level 7 RE engine, Level 2 Reactor and Cap, Level 7 RE shield. Throw in a Proton 3 and life is good.

But I cannot take out the Tier 5 gunship without the Squadron getting me, and if I keep the squadron busy, the Gunboat matches my speed and my manueverability, even flying away from it full boost it still stays within blaster range and removes my shields strips my armor and stops m,e within five seconds.

I have tried overloading weapons and ripping through the squadron, works well, but brings us back to Tier Five Gunboat ripping me apart! Bombing Squadrons, which keeps the Tier 5 Busy, but the Gunboat still chases me while I deal with the escorts.? Bombing Squadrons on the escorts, but as soon as I hit the Gunboat their attention shifts back to me, then I am violated by both my Gunboat and Squadron? And finally, my bombing run on the tier 5 weapons overloaded! Thjis worked well, extremely well, I got within 600 hit overload, hit boost, and dropped a space bomb on the way in, shields, reactor, GONE! But still the weapons lit me up, as well as the Escort on the way out! So please, give me any Advice ya can? How you soloed it? How many epople you needed? What tactics to use, seems the Ai gets "super Jedi powers" Speed accuracy and an Iq that went from 10 -168 in one shot!

Sorry got cut off....but the squadron surrounding the Mosther SHip I can handle, if the gunboat could not do 1175 as I boost away drawing the squadron, and if I hit the gunboat with weapons overcharged and a space bomb, it stopps it dead but the squadron immediately gets a bead and every weapon on the gunboat seems fully charged and ripps me apart as I Zip away at 1175? So what am i doing wrong? What tactics will work to complete htis? How many people should I bring? Is there anyone on Intrepid that can leand a hand? Is there anyone that has soloed this? How did ya do it? I ahve spent 6 hours on this mission and is drving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated. I ahve a KSE Firespray with my name on it! Waiting in my inventory and became a MS just to rengineer ships to fill out my ship with the best available! I lvoe flying, but some things are still out of reach. HELP!

1) Get wingmen to accompany you on the mission.

2) Have them go in first and distract the gunship, send in your bomber strikes on it and have your friends play keepaway while you take out escorts and ultimately the ship itself. I find when helping people on these type of missions, I go in first and no matter what all fighters and gunship follow me even if I decide to repair at a nearby station. You could use this to your advantage.

/Bomberstrike2 is your friend. Use it on the gunship.

Don't shoot it if possible. Kill the fighters. While the bomberstrike is engaging the gunship (and you've finished with the enemy fighters), you can also use /eweapon to do some massive damage with your blasters and nail the engine. After the gunboat is dead in space, just finish it off at your leisure.

Yeah, you've gotta love these new gunboats....

I tried and failed this same mission repeatedly (5 times) since Friday Night. I finally managed to get it done right last night.

You need to have a few skilled wingmen with you. The mission is ridiculously long and the 2 YT's and final Gunboat are tougher that the ones that defend the Corvette.

If you are on Valcyn give us a shout on the pilot chat channel and im sure someone will aid you.

I've been looking for the Corellian Corvette in Kessel, but she always seems to stand me up.

Are the turrets more accurate? I wiped out over 60 fighters in Kessel just the other day looking for the Vette. They and the gunboats didn't seem any tougher...

Well we did it. My frined picks up the mission, we go to Dath, he floats around the buoy, i pick the heat off him taking out Bombers first, I figure as long as he lives, we win. So we go through ripping apart every ship oin the sector, rebel, pirate, anything. We get to the gun boat, he hangs out about 2k out calls in a bomber strike. I make a run in my Advanced, Eweapons on. RIP through the shields engine and BOOM i explode, land on Dath, replace ship parts with what I just picked up over the last three attempts launch, fly back to the waypoint, and finish off the fighters disabl;e the weapons on the gunboat while he finishs off the squadron the takes out the Mother Ship, all said and done, about 20 minutes to do. I thought it was the last mission, not there is a escort mission to do. Well if anyone else is stuck, that is a two person way to do it,.
