Compared to bomberstrike this is a really poor special and to be brutaly honest ive never had to use it and never seen a anything it would be useful against.

To be honest if i need help from a bunch of tier 1 pirates i should rethink the mission im doing, as for being a distraction it really isnt if you try it against anything of any reasonable difficulty youll find they last a matter of seconds and you hadnt had time for your shields to gen or cap recharge in all honesty if you need a distraction your better off not wasting your special on pirate trap and iff scramble.

In essence what is the point of pirate trap because i dont see any?

I got a good laugh from it when the pirates all attacked my friend who was flying with me.

For some reason, when I'm flying with some imperial friends, and they call the bomber strikes, eventually the bombers ALWAY attack me. I know I'm not hitting them, Once I made sure by not shooting anything and still got aggroed. So my response, is a routine that says in groupchat"I warned you guys to keep your crazy bomber freinds off me!", then hyperspace jump back to the Talus station, pause until calculations is at 75%, then hit pirate trap 2. Thats pretty much the only use I've found for it.

pirate trap 1 and 2 sucks so much cuz they are a only tier 1 ships. for both pirate trap one and two. and two they dont do anything. you would think that they would come in and help take some fire off you? no they dont do that. they normally come in and attack you. adding more people fireing on you. it is one of thoughs skills that hurts you more then it helps. cuz it doesn't do anything lol.

The only time I've EVER actually found it useful was once, when I was taking on the Star Destroyer in Deep Space with a friend. We kept getting hit by one particular turret, but we couldn't see where the fire was coming from. Iused pirate trap 2, left my safe spot, and watched as the SD engaged the Pirates. Not only did it reveal the locations all of the nearby turrets, but it kept the SD busy while we took out the turret that was causing us the problems.

Other that that one time, I use it for target practice in my YT...

I've always pondered using it to agro the imp vette escort from a distance so I could take them on in relative peace.

Yes. They drop really good loot for tier 1 buggers. One dropped a level 9 engine for me today.

The tier of the pirates should be tied to the the "pilot special tactics" skill line. With the first box the pirates should be tier 1, with the second box tier 2, right up to calling tier 5 ships at master.

I've always felt the pirates should be the same tier as the pirates in the area. Tier 1s in naboo/tatooine/corellia up to tier 5s in kessel.
