Recently I started doing the missions (story based ones) from the space stations, and -aside from a bugged Dathomir space station mission with an uber escort that never hypers- I've done the lot (including the Uber Tusk Cat Run ) Then when naffing about in Tatooine sector, I decided to hail a named NPC at a POI.
Tomy surprise I got a mission. In the end I did several for Jabba in space (inc an attack on the Tatooine Space station when the space stations defenders agrod me and so did the jabbas lot who were supposed to be helping) I know for a fact that a mos eisley police officer can give missions, and alsoa mining chief. Now thats 5 missions per person with atleast 3 people in the sector that give missions, so 15 in the sector. I'm fairly sure one of them gave me a fair engine as a reward.
What I want to know is, how many more of these NPCs in space can we hail and get missions from?.
Could be some real surprises out there.

The Jabba one, is at the Hutt POI
The Police bloke is somewhere near the station but annoying to find.
The Mining one is at the Mining Area POI.
