SOE screwed up yet again.

Pictures of the mining ship aren't out yet. People have speculated that the bing brown ship in some of the pictures is the mining ship, but no one can prove that yet.

I think that the ARC-170 is the mining ship.

The article on the front page of www.starwarsgalaxies.com says that in the Gamespot article it gives details on "the new mining ship, the Jedi Starfighter and Grievous' Fighter."

However, there's no mention of the mining ship anywhere in the Gamespot article and I can't find it in any of the screenshots. Hmmm...

thats not it, any ship can be changed to a mining ship but the devs have made one just for it but no one has seen it yet.

If you click on one of the screenshots and click the Screens Index button below the enlarged pic you get more ship screenshots. In the last one there are 2 ships not talked about on the right. I suspect these are mining ships.

Hence SOE didn't screw up, the other site didn't mark the path clearly.

Hopefully they will be few and far between, it's been done in eve online already, and you couldn't move in space for all the strip miners fighting for asteroids.

On the last one... those two ships off to the right look like the Grievous fighter to me. Course we could easily be talking about two different pics.

Any word yet on how the mining will be done? Either in the mining ship or in regular ships?

I'm really hoping its done with a special low damage gun personally.

Especially if you can go out and 'harvest' from the ships you are destroying. That would be pretty cool.

Will surveying be part of it?

Would people please stop saying the arc is the new mining ship, its a fighter, and in the first artical about RotW it was said that the new mining ship would have room for 20 people.

I'm curious about if the mining ship will be something from the extended universe or something completely new for SWG.
