Since I started leveling Pilot finally, I've been meaning to ask the community: Do ship hulls decay as well as components when you get blown out of the sky?
I'm loving my Heavy Z-95 (I can actually have a maneuverable ship until I get my B-22 cert) but at 325k a ship I'm afraid of getting blown up and needing to replace the hull.

If it gets hit, it will decay.
The bright side to the matter is that when you hit ace, decay on your ship/items will be less of a problem.
The downside is you sound like you are capable and equipped to get blown up a few times before you hit ace. But don't worry too much. You can make the 325k you paid for the thing back in an hour when you hit ace without too much trouble.

Yes, they do decay, but the minimum is 10 hp which is still flyable. The situations where 2000 hp is going to matter more than 10 hp are not really that numerous. If you take a hull shot you're probably going down anyway, especially in PvP.
