I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. I know normally you need to hit a component on the vette for at least 1 point of damage to get credit for the kill. What is the situation for POB or multiplayer ships? Does each person in the ship need to shoot a component or does everyone get credit regardless of their role if the ship does damage?

My first mastery was in a yt-1300 running the operations chair (man I was so intimidated by the vette back then I feel embarrassed lol) and I got credit for the kill without firing a shot.

You do have to be in the group with the pilot though.

I've also used a firespray to spacebomb II it to death about 5 times and my group has hung back 2k from the vette and still got credit for it each time.

I think you only need to do damage to the vette if you're not in the group that takes it out.

Yeah, I have heard that too, but you know.. most people don't want to risk it when it comes to their master mission. =)
