Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you had to be 4333 pilot to do the quest because you actually have to fly the JSF as part of the quest before you get the deed. Is this not true? Can you actually get this ship before you are able to fly it?
I believe you just need to do the quest to get it (even if you can't fly it).
Obviously, if you're not 4333 and can't get the quest all you need to do is work your way up to 4333 (which isn't a big deal), but I don't believe this is a problem... I'd bet that he gives out the quest regardless.
The JSF isn't required to complete the quest. Since I didn't want it to get blown up, I finished the quest in my Tie-Advanced after Vader gave me the JSF.

Can you help me with this issue?:
Ok I admit I'm a space noob but I just got my first real ship a Tie/in that my guildie made (MSW) but it has no droid/computer. It has an interface however so I assumed all it needed was the droid/computer to interface with. It's the only component category in the ship management screen that doesn't have a component loaded. Well since I'm only a 2111 Imp pilot I'm only certed for a v2 flight computer so I bought one but the ship management feature won't let me install it. What am I doing wrong here? Is the v2 flight computer and the Tie/in not compatible? What can I load into it. Is there a help guide for these kinds of questions on this board? Thanks for you help!

You need a droid interface and a flight computer (it's essentially a droid in a box) in order to run programs.
It looks like the problem you're hitting is that you may not be certified for the version of flight computer you have.
Here's what to do:
1. Get a droid interface.
On the detail screen it'll say something like "Droid Interface Certification 1" or something like that. Make sure you have that level of certification. Since you did get it on your ship, it sounds like you're cool there.
2. Get a flight computer.
The flight computer must match to your astromech/flight computercertification level. Look at it's certification requirement and make sure you have that cert.
Since you can't load the flight computer, I'm almost guessing you're not certified for it... but...
Unless things have changed, I believe the flight computer should be in your datapad (like a droid after it's deed has been claimed).
If the flight computer is not in your datapad, but in your inventory, use the radial menu to get it there.
Hope this helps... I never could could fit a flight computer into my imp ships (they're packed too tight with weapons), but I've been playing around on my alt as a reb pilot and have been using the astromech droid/droid interface combo to get programs working.

I bet that's it. The interface and the flight computer are different cert levels. I didn't think of that. I'll have to check next time I'm in game. Thanks!
