Hey folks,
I’ve recently mastered pilot and I’m starting to look into getting some parts RE’d. While I slowly build my knowledge of what’s out there as far as stats on items go, I’d like to know if my first major RE compilation is worth it.
So, should I send these off to be RE’d, or wait to find better parts? (Or should I really put this in the SW forum?
)
This is what the final result should look like, not including the bonuses or ‘rounding’ mentioned in the FAQ.
Level 8 Shield
Armor: 627.5
Hitpoints: 627.5
Reactor Energy Drain: 1992.9
Mass: 30539.1
Front Shield Hitpoints:2433.5
Back Shield Hitpoints:2433.5
Shield Recharge Rate: 15.65
Hitpoints: 627.5
Reactor Energy Drain: 1992.9
Mass: 30539.1
Front Shield Hitpoints:2433.5
Back Shield Hitpoints:2433.5
Shield Recharge Rate: 15.65
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Definitely wait on the mass - for a 26-27k or better. Drain and regen are decent. Regen matters probably the least of all stats now that CTSS4 makes allocating emergency energy to the shields a moot point.
For mass, try looking under Mon Cal Ionweb Advanced - they seem to be the best "other stats" L8 shields. That doesn't mean you should shun the others.

Thanks for the tips, that’s very helpful. I’m in no great rush so I’ll keep looking around.
3k-4k less mass would make this Bothan smile.
And yeah, the Mon Cal Ionweb Adv is what gives this mix its Drain, Mass and Regen. Not bad.
