Thread: Which should I train first?

I am just about to train my first square in Tier 4 Havoc squadron. I have been training components, ship cert, droid cert and then tactics for every tier. I haven't seen an abundance of 8-9 components for my X-wing so I was thinking of training another box first. I am curious to see what other people like to train first in each tier.

I'm not sure with Rebels really.
Equipment only gives you Level 8, not Level 8+9 and I agree for leveling Level 8 is not that important.
As Privateer and Imp I would advice you to learn ships first (for Rhixirk or TIE Advanced) but rebs only get the Awing there. Great for PvP but for PvE the XWing is better.
I think it pretty much doesn't matter. You'll most likely continue to fly your XWing with Levle 7 stuff in it.
If you'd like to use more/higher droid commands but run out of space in your FC/Astromech, perhaps get Droid first for a higher astromech certification, or if the Tactic Commands are good perhaps get that first.

you should do the A-wing cert box first, componets 2nd, tactics 3rd, and droid commands last, i had no problem with that combination especially in my A-wing

If you're not set for good gear, it realy doesn't matter at all. Even picking the Awing wont help you much, since those are high performance and work best with great parts. I'd go so far as to say if you haven't geared up a good astromech yet, get the droid box, buy Level 5 droid and Flight comp, then track down doubles of the Imperial and neutral programs for both. the FC will be for your Awing, the Droid for your Xwing. The cross faction programs, if you're not using them, would be the biggest assist you can get at the moment.

Engine Overload 3, Reactor 3, Capacitor 3, Weapon 3, Capacitor to Shield shunt 4 take up 105 points alltogether. A Level 4 FC has 110 points so fits in easilty.
They're actually all the programs you'll need.

Since Cap to Shield Shunt was implemented the rebel shield programs became almost useless.

I have a level 4 astromech with WO3 and EO3. If I can fit those other proggies in this droid I think I might go ship cert, components, droids and tactics. It sounds like most of tier 4 will be grinding and gathering enough good components to use later on up the road. Thanks for the thoughts.

No problem, just dont be disappointed when you find out an Awing isnt such a hot PvE grind ship. Have some fun in her, help some friends on missions, but I'd avoid trying to grind a tier4 box in her

Thanks. Probably will just get the A-Wing up and going to buzz around and try it out.. Use my X-wing to grind.
