Before you think I'm a newb... I'm not. I have successfully flown the neutral ships up to tier 4. Never had a problem. Did not have problems with the Z-95 or the Y-wing standard. Today I bought a longprobe and now I am confused.
I took all the components (yes all of them including the blaster weapons) out of my previous regular Y-wing and put them all into the new one. All of them, yes including the blaster weapons. I have no ordnance at all on either ship.
I launch the ship to do a mission, and neither weapon will fire. I thought maybe I forgot to load them so I landed and checked. Nope, they were both loaded. I then unloaded them and re-loaded them, and went back up into space.
Still, they do not fire.
OK so I have two loaded weapons and can't fire at all. Can someone explain what is going on? I am I just bugged or do you have to do something special to a Ywing longprobe that you don't have to do on any of the other ships to get the guns to fire?

Only think I can think of is you didn't put the weapon capacitor back in.

Hmm you're right I didn't look at that. I know I took it out... but maybe I forgot to load it. I'll check next time I am in-game. Thanks.

Are you using any droid commands? Your reactor may not be ablw to handle the command and usually disables your weapons first. I guess it depends on the message u get when your trying to fire, does it say weapons disabled or nothing?

Just in case somebody else has a similar problem, and it is NOT the capacitor, weapons that may have been assigned a group may have had that reset to none grouped when you place them on the new ship. Only had it happen once, and it was my countermeasures that got assigned to group 1 while my weapon was not assigned at all. Every other time I have changed weapons to a new ship they remained grouped as I had them on the previous ship. To check your weapon groupings, hit the G key. You can place just one blaster weapon in a group so that they will alternately fire in cycle, or place them all in the same group so they all fire simultaneously. Ordnance weapons can also be grouped together or separately which can be changed on the fly depending on the current mission.

A former guild mate told me "you're not necessarily a noob." Turns out several times he's loaded a capacitor only to get into space and find the load hasn't taken. He has had this happen more than once, specifically with the capacitor. So if you find this happening to you, remember to check the capacitor as well as the weapons.
I still should've checked that though. I normally do except I was so SURE that I had loaded everything.

I had 3 cases of this , ( i am a jtl noob though ) 2 were i went RED into my energy and the other case was, yup, pulled out everything but the capacitor from the last ship.
They actually ought to have a link to a question like this stickied... anyone who's gonna sort through 10 pages of FAQ needs a dayjob.
