Krayt has only 3 forward guns, the 4th gun (actually Weapon #2 ) is the turret, need a second player for that.

But yes, FS has only 2 guns, so you will do around 33% less damage overall with your FS.

Also i've heard that the weapons are set in extremely stupid places, and its hard to hit with both of them.

The only time I ever use mine is for vette runs. It's a decent PvEfighter, even though the Krayt is superior overall imo, but those two ordinance spots are really nice against those big capital ships. And since neutrals don't really get a bomber (maybe in RotW), that's about all ya got lol.

Well hm.. now that i really think about it.. FS=2 guns... Krayt=4... one wing mounted (some say impossible to hit with wing mounted) so that leaves you with 3 now that are accurate... 3rd gun is a turret.. so you need a co-pilot.. (which i never have) so that brings us down to 2 guns... .....

I flew around my FS a bit ago and did some practice shooting.. i found it easy to aim and not a problem at all... maybe the people who had a problem with it had a lil too much to drink at the cantina before heading out...

I loaded the firespray up with a 101.5 engine and i get it goin 914 and over 1110 with boosters... i can outrun pretty much anything if i get in trouble and the two guns are enough to do sufficient damage paired with the ordnance slots (which i havnt filled yet.) ... i dont have RE'd components in it yet but I plan to use what i got right now to go on some loot missions....

I had to do some mad math to figure the mass fitting for all the components i have as of now.. and i got decent defences.. shield is around 2300/2300 with a 16.(?) recharge... i think thats pretty damn good for a fighter anyway... i really need to RE some of the other components though so i can fit more stuff on here like good ordnance launchers and the works... I would also like some better blasters... i got a 3.6k dmg one on it right now paired with a 2.2k or somethin..... its been a long day and i cant even remember heh...

Im having fun with it and i think thats what matters... and like i said before.. if i get sick of it i can sell it and pull out the krayt again... but i dont think that will be happening for a while.... especially after i get everything RE'd and have myself a uber firespray ...

The Kkekkrrg Rro is ready for some action....

By the way.. you say you do vette runs with this.. are you doing these solo? and what are the stats of your components.. (hopefully better than mine.. but if not, good news for me hahahahah)...

goodnight everybody.

As long as you like it and have fun with it. When you're looking for parts to RE go for level 10 engines and guns. Some guns are in the 4k+ range and the engines will give you well over 70+ PYR. You'll be hard pressed to get that 100+ top speed (average level 10 engine speed is between 80-90) but if you've got that KSE packed with good shields and armor and some heavy blasters, you won't need to be fast (for PVE) because there won't be anything that can touch you.NPCs will have to worry about out running YOU

I'm not sure about the other guy but soloing a vette really isn't as hard as it seems. Many people do it in KSEs, B-Wings and Kryats. I can do it in a TIE Advanced and I know some people who can solo a vette in Interceptors and A wings. For us in the light fighters we have to stay more alert, do more straffing runs, avoid those gunboats, and try to be the fly buzzing around the elephant. For you guys in the bigger ships all you have to do is lay down a wall of destruction and try not to get hit too much. Draw off the escort fighters and pick them off, kill the gun boats, then start blasting the hell out of the vette.

Have fun with your KSE.

I feel that the Krayt is the best ship in the game right now.3 guns with a wide spread almost guarantee thatat least one of them will hit the target. The Firespray is a fun ship to fly, but it takes alot of time getting used to how the weapons fire. I prefer the krayt. WhenI finish mastering storm squadron I'll have to load up a KSE just to fly it again.

Im looking to get a Firespray since I have about 9.5 mill and nothing to spend it on (all hard earned money mind you.. its hard to part with... ) and thats exactly why im asking about it before i buy one...... I have a Krayt right now with a lil over 210k mass and i was wondering what the firespray's mass is... (on average)...

I dont have any RE'd components.. (mostly because I dont know how that all really works... never had anyone explain that to me).. but when you get a RE'd component I assume (from what i've heard.) that you need the same lvls and they combine to make a component with all the best stats from all the components... how many you need and what really happens is what i dont have a clue on....

And i also assume that if im getting a firespray i should get ALL RE'd components or its gonna be garbage... right?...i hope not cuz that would probably take me forever to get... =\...

IMHO I think KSEs are garbage. Some pilots love them, some hate them. Having flown them and flow against them in PVP and PVE combat, it is my opinion that they are great PVE tanks, but are next to worthless in PVP. They look cool, sound cool, and do pack a hell of a punch with the right loadout. Think of them as a support ship. Kind of like Master Commandos. Hard hitting and nice to have around if you're killing something big....but not very good for PVP. Again...this is just my opinion. As I said, I'm sure some pilots love them and can do evil things with them in PVP (although I haven't met one yet).

As a pilot you really should get more info on the RE thing. Find a good shipwright on your server and sit down with him or her and go over it. Learn as much as you can and if you're able, become an expert on the subject of REing. Then get up there and start geting some good parts.

If I were you I would save mycredits for the new ships that are coming out

Don't bother.

Firespray has about the same mass. Unless you want it as a status symbol, don't bother getting it.

Well considering there IS no PVP on my server, the only thing I would be using it for is PVE.. and the whole reason im drawn to the firespray is that not very many people fly them... hell if I can take down anything in PVE (im a really good pilot.. not to brag, but you can ask some other people.) then I think I would love the thing...

I guess another reason for me to get it is a status symbol as well....... but if it is just garbage for PVE even then forget it.... if it is a beast and tears PVE apart then im still interested... thats a big chunk out of my wallet though ...

No im not a boba fett wannabe but yes i am a BH and yes i know its not a "BH ship" but like i said before... i never see anyone else flying one... so maybe i will..

Can anyone tell me how it handles compared to a Krayt?... I see that a firespray only has two guns and two missile bays and a krayt has 4 (mine has all 4 on).. so if im not using 4 guns on the firespray this could be extra mass useable for some kickass shields and armor i assume...

basically i just want some experience from people who have flown one and know what you can slap on this thing and how it can do overall.... i dont wan to spend millions on a ship that just gets pounded by everything...

sure it matters how good the pilot is.. but you know what im talkin about....

you do have to learn how to fly a firespray compared to a krayt but imho I love the firespray for all they are

I do use reverse engineered parts and they are worth hunting for for example i have plus 4.76k max dam guns with .9 vs sheilds they as you say can rip apart any pve mob you wish to tackle

as for a quick note on re'ing if you have 10 x reverse engineering level 10 guns a master shipwright can combine these for you to give you a gun that has the best stats from each gun also adds a nice additional bonus to the process
