A point-defense laser. Fits into the CM slot, has a MINIMUM effectiveness of 99.0 (can be experimented higher), maximum in the upper 190s/low 200s. A Space-Age CIWS system for POBs.
Low damage (no using it as an offensive weapon), takes 500 EPS per shot, and has a refire rate of ~.9xx (to offset the almost assured deflection).
I concur this wouldn't do much good NOW, but who knows what the future may bring.

Plus such a component would require a good-sized amount of diamond asteroid for the focusing medium.
