Thread: Oppressor Loadout

Give me a couple of examples to get this thing to work well. I've just thrown enough components in it to make it work, but I need a GOOD loadout. ty in advance!

What are you going to use it for? PVE? PVP? Loading 3 missile launchers, or just blasters?

Why don't you tell us what you have and we can tell you how to make it better.

Okies. My engine (best i can remember) is 117 speed or so, 64/63/60 YPR, better than any other engine I've got. OK, I'll be sticking that Holoscreen up on my Oppressor as soon as I log in next. I'll take your weapon set up, too. I spent almost 2 mil this morning buying and outfitting (randomly) my VT-49 and Oppressor. Next I need names for both, cuz what's a ship without her name?

Oh yes, I've currently got no boosters or armor of any type on my Oppressor. All of the equipped equipment is ~150k/~170k mass.

Reactor: 8k mass, 14k gen


Shield: 16.7k mass, 1.9k Hitpoints, 9.57 regen, drain 3k


Capacitator: 14.9k mass, 1215 energy, 44.3 regen, drain 14k


DI: 7.9k mass, 16.8 speed, 497 drain


weap 1: 36k mass, 1905-3287, vs. shields .721, vs armor .240, 30 energy/shot, .259 refire, 2.5k drain


weap 2: 36k mass, 1830-3795, vs. shields .242, vs armor .726, 26 energy/shot, .352 refire, 2.5k drain



No ordnance loaded. I'm more of the PvE w/ blasters type of person.

You really don't need this big of a cap


DI: 7.9k mass, 16.8 speed, 497 drain


You should be able to find a DI with slightly higher speed (17 or 18) with only 3 to 5k mass

This is a bit heavy. I would try to replace the weapons with RE's as soon as you can gather the parts and I like having a missle tube (even just one) for extra firepower when you run into spinning gunboats or just get bored with chasing down those a-wings. However, I use mk4 protons for pve no need to waste the money and sacrifice damage for IR2's when you don't need the low lock-on time.

the biggest tip I could give is engine. You didn't list yours here, but definitly go for a high ypr with a slightly slower top speed.

I pretty much agree with what Pace said.

What are you using for an engine, booster, and armor?

Reactor - If you're not running any missile tubes, you certainly don't need 14k of energy generation. A 13k generation 3200 mass Mark II should be plenty, especially if you run reactor overload 3.

Shield - Where is your Cygnus "Holoscreen" Shield Generator? Use this. RE it when you can. If you don't have it, or it is in use elsewhere, I'd try to fit in a Mark V shield. 42k mass 2250 f/r shielding if it fits, or 35k mass 2100 f/r if there is no room.

Cap - Too big. The heaviest I would go is a Mark III with 6k mass, 1150 energy, 35 recharge or an REd L4.

DI - Replace it. Crafted Mark III is 2600 mass 18 speed, Mark IV is 6600 mass 15 speed.

Weapons - Looks like a crafted experimental ion with quickshot upgrade and crafted experimental disruptor with damage upgrade. I'd go with two quickshot green blasters 1900-3100 dmg, 0.26 speed, 0.5 vs. shields and armor for the best damage per second. Eventually replace these with well REd L8 or L10 blasters.

I'd throw in a Proton III or two (or 3) for special occasions and a chaff or sensor decoy launcher for those Kashyyyk Ghrag gunboats.
