I'm just looking around for a smuggler to get the 5,200 imperial faction points, but what do I have to do? I know I have to get some kind of datapad, and escort an AT-ST, but is there any space portion? I'd like to be prepared if you'd be so kind, fellow pilots

Check out the corpse about 30m from the Nighsister Stronghold POI wp. There's a datapad in there. Activate the quest by looking at the datapad, go to Admiral Krieg in the Kachirho Imperial installation near the starport (declare as an Imperial Combatant somewhere along the way) and that's pretty much it. You'll get a series of easy ground-based quests and a medium-difficulty space quest after you get the ship deed. The space quest just gives you a 3k faction point bonus as a reward.

Thankyou for the reply
Can you describe the space portion in more detail please? I'm thinking of doing a quick faction swap to get the deed then swapping back, will I need to hire an Imperial to take care of the space bit for me, since I'll have no imperial pilot skills?

Well, it was a breeze for me (SA MP) in my Dunelizard, but if you want to do it with no actual pilot skills, you'll definitely have to stay very very far away from the action and get your escort to do the work for you.
It's a Rebel vs. Imperial battle - a big one where you're supposed to "lead" the assault and pretty much kill everything in sight, can't really remember which tier the Rebels were, but a single Master Pilot should have no problems with the mission.

To be sure you are clear.
You do NOT need to do the space mission to fly this ship. The second Vader hands you the deed, you are done. If you were a T4 pilot, you could fly it at that very moment.
So do the space mission if you want, but dont feel that you have to.

Woo, sounds like a PoP to get now.
Just need to wait until respec is over to get my recently-mastered (during respec) Vortex squadron badge, then I'll be sporting an Actis.

^^^ Yup, what he said. ^^^
The last mission is totally optional - in fact, Vader actually gives you the ship to help you with that mission (at least that's what the storyline says, you're supposed to fly the Jedi SF in the mission). It's just a really nice FP boost. But then again, you don't really need that if you're going to switch back again right after the quest, do you.
EDIT: I'd still do the space quest with someone just to get it completely over with in the quest journal. Just as a precaution, who knows what silly stuff regarding the Jedi SF certs they might change. /shrug

True, i'll probably offer the FP as a reward to someone for helping me complete it, just to unclutter the old journal
.
