I normally run a heavy X-wing, but I do fly an A-wing as well.

I also have put 10X the effort into setting up the a-wing as I have all my others combined

I don't like the JSF and Bel

Not because they are unbalanced ships

They have no identity....

A JSF or Bel shoots you down.... it's just some guy on the other side.

A factional only craft has an identity...

Maybe they should have made3 different ships, all the same like the JSF and Bel and just made the certs in the 3 different pilot trees

Maybe I am just a nutjob that likes to fly <200 meters from the deck of the ISD

That is really cool... I can't help myself... I even fly along the edges of it. My intercceptor fit in the grove one the edge and at high speeds it kinda fells like a trench.

I do thatalso with my xwing. It's tough at full speed, but a challenge. And yes it definately feels like the trench run when going full speed.

My first solo attempt on the ISD was a turret-wrecking trech-run, hehe.

Then I found out it was easier just to skip that.

You hit the nail right on the head here bud. I love flying the JSF and the Bel but it just doesn't feel like Star Wars unless you are flying a TIE or other Pre-ROTW ship. That goes for flying against ROTW. I got my first kill yesterday in my OPPie. Of course it was against a JSF.

There's a few RotW craft thathave theGalactic Civil War feeling--the Advanced X-wing, the RGI (which I only despise because of the bugged hitbox, not because it would be a monster otherwise), the heavy TIE, and the heavy Z-95.
