I'm sure I'm beating a long dead horse here but...

Don't you guys think that people that do all 9 squads should get something? Or even people that do all 3 squads of one faction?

For example:

All 3 Imp Squads: Imperial Master Ace Pilot
All 3 Neutral Squads: Master Ace Pilot
All 3 Rebel Squads: Rebel Master Ace Pilot

All 9 Squads: Ace of Aces (or something like it)

I love flying and spend 99% of my time IG in space. I'd love to see more recognition for people that play the way I do. What do you people think?

...has mastered the Pilot profession

Jmaac / Master of all 9 Pilot Squads
Jmac / Master Trader (Structures)
Space Loot Vendor: moved 1.9k NNE of Keren Naboo... WP on the way

I actually never liked the qualifiers in front of all the swg titles. Novice, Apprentice, Master, Expert, it's all just clutter.

If I had my 'druthers the 9 badger would get "Pilot"

It's so simple and elegant that it would stand out nicely I think

Gilack Mehoipou [Bloodfin]

Quintuple Master- Marksman/Squad Leader/Rifleman/Vortex Pilot/Politician

Made it before all hell broke loose.

I'd even be OK with that...I'd just like to see SOMETHING in the way of recognition. I just figured badges would be the easiest to implement. I'm not so foolish as to hope for special 9 badger content or loot items.

There does not need to be anymore stupid titles added to teh game nor more badges.

The fact is the more squadrons you ahve mastered the easiest it is for you to master the next. After a couple its a joke.

Gunboats for 134K give me a break. You are already a Master Pilot what more is needed.

Someonea a little crusty. Whats wrong with easier, IF you've earned it.
So it makes sense for there to be more xp after master when starting the next. Also, nice to get recognized for a double or triple mastery.

And the more badges the better. I don't understand why someone would be against more badges.

Doing all three squadrons for a certain faction should unlock your piloteye character. The piloteye would get the super flying powers that were 1.5x better than any normal pilot and be able to craft their own ships which would rely on looted parts and still be better defensively and offensively than any other nonpiloteye ships. This way dedicated pilots and shipwrights could constantly complain here on the pilot forums while the players with piloteye characters could demand new content like the ability to kill regular pilots for special piloteye prestige that would be used for fancier titles and even more super abilities. To make it fair and keep the piloteye numbers down tier 1 pilots would be given missions to hunt and kill the piloteyes in their tier one fighters.

Then again we could all just be happy that you are getting your badge for doing another squadron which is really the only thing needed to show that you did the "work" of doing another squadron.

Obviously, no one is asking for anything like Jedi in space. To suggest that we are is the worst sort of fallacy. However, an extra title and badge for going "above and beyond the call of duty" doesn't seem to be even remotely objectionable. Why would you oppose this? Would it somehow make you less of a pilot for not having this badge? I doubt it. It just lets people who have chosen that route display that they have done more than most people.

My problem with giving extra titles and badges for doing this, is that it encourages more people to do that. I don't like it when the game devs move professions and areas of the game into grind for the gold mode because it further erodes the player created social enviroment and I will always speak out against ideas that lead to more grinding.

Also, once people start getting the extra badges and titles then they'll ask for more content to go with that (to give it purpose) and then you end up with the piloteye. Seen it here in SWG, seen it in a bunch of other MMOs. So, like I said whenever i get a chance I speak up against POS ideas like this.

LOL reachwind....that was funny. But I agree with Treena on this. We are not looking to get uber in space. That's what the ROTW ships are for lol. But a badge saying "this player has mastered more than one piloting profession"

I do not see how that would hurt. Besides, once you master pilot for annother faction, you will get the master ships for that faction...so in a sense it would be new content for someone mastering freelance, after completing reb or imp. but something still atainable for any who wish to do the work for it.

Nothing here to give a one up on any pilot over annother. It still all comes down to pilot skills

I like the idea of special recognition for completing all 3 squadrons of your chosen faction.

In regards to people that complete all 9 sqads, I'm not sure but one word comes to mind.... :cough: treason :cough:
