Does anyone have a maxed out Mark V engineAND a maxed out Mark V booster. I know the max speed on the Mark V is 120.0 and the max on a Mark V booster is 51.0. Fastest Mark V booster I can make is 50.4 so far with the minerals I have. That puts me at 1680 cruising speed and 2184 boost. The max speed using crafted components would then be 2190. Anyone ever achieve this yet? Just curious if it's been done yet. I know that people have gone over this speed by bug or by RE engine, but I'm curious about doing it with crafted components.
thanks

Meh, 119.1 speed engine and a 49.0 speed booster. 1725 with EO4 in a Nova Courier.

Its very pretty... until the loosy booster runs out and you drop to zero.

Yeah, when the boost kicks out, the system is basing the maneuverability computations on your actual velocity versus your supposed maximum velocity, resulting in negative maneuverability modifiers. You'll notice that at moment your boost cuts out, your YPR is pretty sweet, and it gets worse the closer you get to your non-boost maximum, until it hits, causing your speed to 0 out from a math error in the system which causes it to reset.

I have a macro that cuts my throttle to .56 with my speed engine, and you should see some of the tells I get about how well it handles. Too many people get into a POB, then rev it up to max and wonder why it flies like a brick.

Amen. The only time I fly at max speed in my Decimator is when I'm high-tailing it to the space station. Otherwise right around 50% is where to play.
