Thread: JSF & RGI question
The B-22 is less of a problem than the JSF or RGI to most people. The reason is that the B-22 has a much larger hitbox and is thus an easier target.
In the FAQ, you'll find a comparison of all the ship stats. The JSF and B-22 have amazing stats for their mass. Never before had any ship been that nimble and speedy with two gunpoints and such large mass. That's the part that many consider to be unbalancing. For the JSF, this is compounded with the smallest unbugged hitbox in the game. So, not only is it speedy, nimble, packs decent firepower and has the largest mass for a fighter-style ship, it's also tiny and thus hard to hit.
For the RGI, the issue is that the hitbox is bugged. It's MUCH smaller than it should be. In fact, though the RGI appears to be a much larger ship than the JSF, due to the hitbox bug, an attacker's weapons think that it's actually much smaller than the JSF. Fix the hitbox, and there wouldn't be as many complaints about the RGI.
You'll see the benifits of these things more in PvP than in PvE, but you can totally tell that you have an edge in PvE also. If your Rihxyrk is performing better for you than the B-22, you may either have issues with your components (e.g. they have more mass than they should) or your playstyle is geared to less-nimble ships.
