Thread: CTSS3

I am a 4444 imp storm squadron pilot on Corbantis.

I recently bought a brand new v5 flight computer and I also bought a chip from the Bazaar which had CSS3 on it.

I programmed the computer with a few commands (only 4 or 5)and then went in to my inventory to activate the chip. I am not entirely sure what happened next but I am sure I was given the option, when I looked at the computer again, to load in CSS3 and I did so.

The chip disappeared from my inventory but it does not appear on my flight computer. Launching into space and using CTRL A I can see my 'space' and 'astromech' commands but CSS3 does not appear anywhere.

I landed and looked again at the Flight Computer. CSS3 did not appear on it. The menu bottom option was something like 'open the comp storage area' which I did. There appears to be a number of command chips in there (4 or 5) but again CSS3 is not one of them. The chip is nowhere to be seen.

I am sorry if this is a stupid question but:

1. What did I do wrong and does anyone know a corbantis vendor where I can buy another CSS3 chip 'cos I can't for the life of me find one.

Thanks

Can you tell in detail what else you loaded on the flight computer? It might be that you exceeded the capacity and so the program was not actually loaded into it. Otherwhise i have no idea what happened.

Anyways, i would advise to get CTSS4 instead of CTSS3, if you can somehow squeeze it in still... it makes a difference. And on where to get it, buy a few unprogrammed chips, most freelance pilotes don't hesitate to share their programs as long as you provide the chips.

Actually I had thought about that and that could very well be it.

My original computer was a v3 and I had probably 8 or 9 commands programmed into it.

On the V5 I put in Weapons Overload 3 and the other level 4 commands I have access to (if that makes sense). I thought I would have plenty of room for CTSS3 and I did not get a message saying the computer could not take it.

I will try again but could I just ask how you can tell what the capacity of the computer is?Does a V5 flight computer automatically have more 'memory' space' than a V3?If I remember correctly the chips have a 'program size' on them but how about the other commands - how do I tell how big they are.

I am sorry, I am not in game at the moment and I may be missing the blindingly obvious but I appreciate the help.

Just take a look here.

A lv. 5 flight computer has 125 units of capacity, most lv. 4 programs take 25 units. You didn't write in detail what you put in, so i can't finally determine what happened... but it should be easy enough for you to calculate on this basis.

I have noticed lately that the last command I put into a droid, shows up before I hit "commit" I get the confirmation window, it is listed there, but after I confirm, and look at the droid in my datapad, that command is gone, and the space where it would be in the droid is unused.

I tried this most recently with a 1 space command, mute droid I think, so there was plenty of room in the droid. And it disappeared.

me thinks there might be a bug.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
