Thread: Problem with the Y8 [player_utility]:cannot_manipulate **Now with workaround**

anyone else having this problem?


I just got my y8 and I cant equip anything to it in order to launch or travel

Just keep getting that message when I try to load any components so Im stuck

Your either not a master pilot, or the items u are throwing into it arent in your direct inventory.

well I figured out the problem. Its not that the items are in my backpack, its that the items arent on me at all!


Its showing available components to load that I dont have in my inventory. I think it may be becauseI drop my components into containers in my house, and the inventory still shows the item's icon in my main inventory until I open the container I transfered the items to.


Im going to test this, but I bet the fix is that I need to open the containers that I stored my parts in so that the inventory memory updates. If you encounter this, please /bug it so that it gets seen promptly.

if you have another pob ship that has a loot container and that loot container has items in it those items will show on your manage screen but be unmanipulatable.

or so i find anyway

Getting the same problem here, Problem when I try to load the middle turret into my Y-8,
and the Droid Interface on my opressor. The parts are indeed with me in my inventory.
I can open Control +I and see them. Will get on the Devs and CSRs about it.

Definitely a master pilot, Ill give the top level inventory thing a shot tho. Weird that I never ran into that problem before getting the Y8 tho, but Ill report back with what I find

I had that problem.


I have seen that the equipment giving this problem was stored in my Nova Courier or Sorosuub.

noI have this issue and it is caused by my Nova.. the items that are showing up are the ones in the loot box on my nova.

I was actually having a little bit of both, and this problem has been solved a long ass time now lol
