If i were to resign from my current pilotsquadron (Smuggler's Alliance i think it's called), is there a chance that i won't be able to generate my jsf when i redeed it and start a new pilot squadron? I heard that the new ships are somewhat bugged when switching squadrons.

You won't be able to generate it until you're 4/3/3/3 again.
If you want to leave yourself a ship in which you can hit the ground running, load up a high-mass scyk. If you then choose a freelance squad to do next, you'll be able to fly that ship with whatever components you left on it, even if you're not certed for them.
If you change factions altogether, you're outta luck.

To hit the ground running, a Dunelizard is fine ... the 4 Novice missions don't take too long to do, then a quick trip to somewhere with T4 targets and you're good to go.

ok, thanks guys. planning on using a high-mass syck until i can use my jsf again. but just for clarification, if i stay privateer, i CAN use my jsf again, but if i go rebel or imperial, i CAN'T?

no you can use the JSF regardless of faction. You have to be Imperial ground Combatnat to get it, but once the quest is completed, you can go rebel ground or neutral ground, with whatever space faction you like and you can fly it, but not before you hit pilot 4/3/3/3

I've already gotten the jsf actually, and i currently fly it. I'm just worried about redeeding it to change squadrons because i've heard bugs about people not being able to generate their quest ships when they change squadrons.

If you're already flying it, then don't redeed it and you'll never have a problem.

So i don't need to redeed my ships when i drop a squadron and take up a new squadron?
