This could probably be posted in a few different forums.... My idea for a space mission for a full group.
"We have discovered that the Empire/Rebels have taken some of our most important code cyphers and are transporting them on a Corellian Corvette in deep Space to deliver to the Star Destroyer/Rebel Space Station. We need you disable the Corvette, board it, and recover the information."
- You would need a full load of players in space with the FOB ship (YT/Decimator/Nova) plus the escort fighters. When in deep space you get a mission waypoint to the Corvette (this mission is instanced for the group). Once at the target location, you must eliminate the fighter escort then disable the corvette, just like in the master missions. Once the vette is disabled the FOB ship docks with the disabled vette.
"Once you have boarded the ship you must verify the information is located on the vessel then destroy it. We understand that there will be heavily armed resistance onboard the ship, I recomend you take a full combat crew on this mission. Knowing the practices of the Empire/Rebels I am sure once the vette is disabled they will send a full fighter escort to destroy the craft once you board it, so stay on your toes."
- Once docked with the Corvette, the FOB ship will have access to the craft thru the docking hatch (would need to be added, say a useless dorway that is changes to a ladder like the exsisting turret access). This would drop the combatants into the Corvette the same way as you would for the old "Ground Corvette" missions but with a different entrance room. Once onboard the boarding party from the FOB ship must battle to gain access to the Captains quarters and verify that this is the correct ship carrying the stolen information, using slight variations of the Destroy and Assasination missions for the old "ground vette". Now no SBDs, lets make it hard but we need to keep the time down a bit on this part. To keep the escort fighters busy there would be waves of enemy fighters who jump in to stop the mission that would need to be eliminated. Once the information is verified, the boarding party scuttles the ship and return to the FOB ship. The FOB ship used to board the Corvette would remain docked for the duration of the onboard opperation and would be the cloning location for any of the players that die onboard the corvette where they could be healed and rebuffed and sent back into battle (no insurance needed).
"Then you must bring the information back to me, safely, I will be in space on a transport ship awayting your delivery. We are counting on you to succeed in this mission. Long live the Rebuplic/Empire"
- Once the mission holder (the master pilot of FOB ship) has verified the inforamation (say a data disk is given by the computer) then the full crew must battle its way back safely to a wp in a different system and dock to deliver it. Now if the mission holder dies while piloting (not onboard the vette) or a certain number of enemy pilots are spawned at a time (say 1.6 of a wave) the mission fails.
Reward: Mission badge!! Also, NPC's drop decent loot, and all get FP. Each ships pilot gets a nice piece of loot, like the Lvl 8 mission reward Weapons or something. Now nothing spectacular or unballanceing but worthwhile.
So all I am thinking, with a few small additions, isadding the old ground vette interior with a spawned space vette to make make IMHO one heck of a fun andhard mission.

Awesome idea Monso. Hope it works like the ground corvette missions, last time I ran them you cloned with wounds but none of the normal equipment degradation. The wounds are annoying, but a good doc/entertainer can take of that.
I'm not too familiar with how the multiplayer ships work, other than the Y-Wing (my wife loves that one :smileyhappy
, butI hopethe FOB ship can act as a med center/cantina (no need to flame/reply, I'll look it up later :smileywink
