I recently purchased a Firespray and was hoping to PIMP it out, I know this ship is not a worthy pvp choice but would like it to at least be formidable.

Could someone please offer some equipment chioces to help me configure/max this puppy out for superior performance for this model of spacecraft.

Thanks

I paid 6.5 mill for mine and I didn't even dare to take it out before I got myself one of those Imp tier 4 reward-shields. It is really a must if you don't feel like blowing up and getting decay while doing some tanking.

I think the common concenus would be from a RE stand point a setup like this

L10 Engine
L8 Reward Shield
Any Level Reactor with decent output
Decent armor (1500+) front and back
L6 Cap (well done these can be 1300 max, 50 regen for as little as 7k mass)
Either a L10/L9 gun setup or a L10/L10 one
And DI will do under 15 speed, mass isn't exactly a concern.

With the huge mass of Firespray its not difficult getting all that in there.

Higgins is right, most ships are going to have a pretty similar setup. Only thing I would do is possibly drop to twin level 8 guns in exchange for some missile launchers (you said you want it for PvP, right?). Beyond that, aim for a level 10 engine and a level 8 shield, and build everything else around those.

Never cared much for Level 10 engines so far.
What are "normal" stats on those. Yeah i know theres no "normal" in space, but what speed and PYR is okish/good?

Key is to use RE'd components to keep the energy drain down, thusa lighter reactor. My set (for differences from above):

RE 3 reactor (crafted Mark II will work just fine)
RE Level 8 Nym's armor (properly RE these can get to under 15K mass easily, but they leave you not wanting to PvP outside of DS )
Dual L10 guns (try to keep the mass under 43K)
Dual ImageRec 2 launchers (good for player A-wings, JSFs, etc)

Still trying to find room for a CM...

With that set-up, I can run RO4, EO4, CO4 without needing WO3...

My Level 10 is running at ~ 95 speed, 83+ YPR and 42K mass. I recently sold one anRE L10with ~ 91 speed, 80 YPR and 43K massthat was made from scrap engines.

I'm willing to crowbar that L10 into any ship larger then 70K mass for pvp because of the YPR alone.

Lol, you bought mine. But you dont have to worry about decay, its master certification so you can just limp to Deep Space and get a decayless repair if you die.

Never leave home without countermeasures, especially if you're going into PvP. A basic chaff launcher can be loaded for under 1k mass.
