I'm not sure if this is even possible, and I'm sure this may have already been sugested but....

How about a cross-server space area? This area would be space only, no land at all,and include all sectors. It would be 100% PVP all the time. When you access a starship term you would see a black hole Icon. Click on that and you hyper to the Kessel system of this new PVP galaxy. From there you could hyper to any of the other sectors or back to your home server. This area would be open to every pilot and every ship. That way the rookie pilots could get in on the action and non-pilots could take their yachts and watch the action...and maybe even take bets.

There would of course be NPCs to farm and maybe even missions. But for the most part it would be a way for all of us to get togehter and fly with/against each other.

Again, I'm not sure how this would work on a tech level. I'm sure the devs would have to have a new server just for this. maybe once all of the CU/Expansion madness dies down a bit it's something they could look into. Just a thought.

Also...maybe turn it into a sporting event. The GSL (Galactic Starfighter League). have different teams from diferent servers. Have official events that would eventually end in a Space Super Bowl type of event. You could have team owners to help pay for ship parts, agents to recruit pilotsfor teams, and of course a pack of yachts lined up to watch the game, place bets, and so on. Maybe even have a board on the forums so people can track player stats and to see who is playing who this week. GSL events would of course be decay free. Also, the friendly fire feature would be turned of for these events so like factions can play against each other and teams can be made up of multiple faction ships.
