Pilot Archive

Its my understanding that after you master pilot in one squadron,and you resign and do another squadron you get double xp for the grind. Does this apply only to squadrons of the same faction, or Can I resign from SA and go Rebel and get double xp in Crimson Phoenix, or whatever?
