This bug has been with me since day one of jtl, but it wasent until i bothered getting my yt 1300 that i noticed how pain in the butt the bug actually is.
While i fly in space i will randomly totally stop up and will have to re-accelrate to top speed again, with fighters this is not such a BIG problem as they accelrate fairly quickly. However My yt 1300 i have noticed gets is randomly while flying normally but if i hit the boosters it will stop as soon as the boosters are empty. This means my yt-1300 has to slowly re-accelrate back to top speed until moments later until it all happeneds again!
Anyone know how to fix it, or "cope" with it

I just turn the booster on and off, shoots the engine up to full speed in a second or 2.

That one usually happens if you use the booster to accelerate from a full stop.
when the booster is depleted, your speed returns to what it was before, and that would be 0
try instead hit "home" (for max throttle) first then use Booster right after, and your speed would remain at topspeed when booster is depleted.
I have used this several times, and sometimes I forget to hit home (or my /throttle 0.66 macro) first, and I soon after booster is empty, find myself back at zero speed
But I would not clasify it as a bug, I hope it is "working as intended" because doing Duty missions is great with booster between 2 waypoints around 1500m apart... keep speed at optimal fighting speed then Hit Booster and find yourself at the next waypoint around the time the booster is empty, and then you are back at optimal fighting speed again

Doesn't help. Even when you're at top speed and the booster either runs out, or is shut off, the damned thing still trips and kills your velocity.
I still get an intermittant bug where my ship also starts leveling itself as if going into hyperspace when its decelerating back to normal speed.

This bug has to be tied to your system. What kind of machine are you using?I used to get this bug every few minutes. I would be flying alone and the enigines would like cut out for a second then turn back on and re-accelerate. I was running an Athlon 3500+, Geforce 5500, 1 gig of RAM. Just built a new system with Athlon 64 3800, Geforce 6800GT and 2 gigs of Ram. I dont get this bug anymore.
