Since receiving my Ace cert and pickin up my YT1300, I have aquired texture kits from 3 different shipwrights. When i go to texture it, the texture kits dont disappear and when I lay paint on it, it only colors the default texture boxes. Can they YT1300 not be textured like the pictures on the SOE site? Please help, it needs some flair!

Sure can, I've seen one with the stripe and the star on it, black and blue, I think it was. Either you're bugged, or the kits are bugged. Check the SW forums.

Is it in your 4-6th ship slots? For some reason, ships in those slots (from the ship management screen) can't be textured. If you can get it moved up to one of the first three slots, you should be able to paint and texture it as per usual. Taking your YT out and hypering around with it a bit might move it up in the management screen to where you can paint it.

Launch, Hyper, Land, Logout to Desktop, Log back in, and the ship should be in slot 1

Thanks for the help guys. the hyper and log trick didnt work, so I finally got around to deleting my starter ship and redeeding my Ixyen, thusly moving my YT into the third spot. Then, I got my Vaksai, so I redeeded my Kihraxz and textured the vaksai then unpacked the Kihraxz again and it went back into the third slot so I was able to reapply the original texture. This is a stupid and annoying bug, which has put a damper on my excitement for new ships as I dont want to have to mess with the stupid deeding and packing of othersI use on a semi regular basis.

Heh, this is REALLY annoying. I had to loose a good deal of customizations just to pain my YT1300 a new style. It isn't really the money for the kits, it's stripping down the components which can get annoying everytime I want to chnage something.

But, then again, I have bigger things to complain about hehe.
