This evening, I was casually hunting in deep space, when I engaged a JSF with my Bel 22. We began trying to line up each other when...... NPC rebel mobs began attacking the star destroyer. I do believe the lag went on for at least 10 minutes. I was retarded down to 3 frames per second. Neither of us could even steer. Eventually, another reb pilot destroyed the SD, and we went at it for three or four more minutes, with me winning. The point is: Give us a battlefield identical to deep space, but without the captital ships. PRONTO. *Snap Snap Snap!* Two hundred bolts worth of lag is not a fun SWG experience.

without the added PVE incentive you'd see even less pilots in DS. unless they fundamentally altered the way DS works and pilot access to it.
that being said, the problem isn't the capital ships so much as the bug the devs introduced into the game a few publishes ago that causes so much graphic lag when the ISD fires. it used to be pretty constant FPS even when the ISD had it's guns blazing a few months ago.

I hear ya.
Im not master yet, but I went to DS in a friends nova courier, and the lag from the SD was rediculus. I did not have my network monitor on at the time, but im sure I was down to a good 2-5 fps.

sweet. I always figured something that big would have too many hp for one ship to take it down.....

DS worked fine pre-CU. They screwed something up, and haven't bothered to adress it yet. I used to have pvp battles across the surface of the ISD without any trouble.

I've soloed it too, but I was never lagged to the point thatIhit yesterday. I wasn't even near it. **Patches over patches patching patches.** Someone call the bug exterminator.

Yeahwe had a big DS PvP event last night on Bloodfin. Right after we started a stupid corvette decided it would try to take on the SD. In the middle of one our big battles everyone's fps went to crap. We had to call of the fighting andeveryone sat around doing nothing while we waited for one of the rebels to come over and take care of the SD (and of course we had trouble with some of the imp pilots not following directions and shooting him down anyway, wasting even more of our time).

I launched my Y-8 this afternoon - which just irritated me more. I think it would really suck to be the person(s) who designed and implemented things like hte Y-8 and Deep Space, then watch them go for so long without a bug fix. In the case of DS, you're talking about a major part of being a pilot. It's part of the reward, something to aim for....and it's completely borked.

Only 10 mins? wait tell you hit the 15-20 minute mark. Your arm gets so tired from working the joystick like a maniac, you just wish it were over, one way or the other.
