If I use Anti Decay kit on my ship will that mean that the Chasis won't melt away after I day?

it's my new catch phrase anytime i encounter an issue like this in game. i laugh like hell everytime i say it.
i picture a cowboy lighting up a cigarette and being all "yesssssssssssss" and tipping his hat, right after he encounters a bug in the game where like, you have to escort an AT-ST ten feet through hilly terrain, but you can't do it, because the AT-ST gets stuck anytime it's foot hits a hill.
