Thread: An issue with ship ownership?

I have recently been stuck in that infinite loop to get the Heavy X-Wing. Right now, someone is selling one on our galaxy trade forums. I was stuck two days ago, well after the fix was pushed to live as an attempt to resolve it. It hasn't worked, needless to say.
So, my question is this: Must I complete the Heavy X-Wing quest in order to be able to pilot it, or can I pilot it with the proficiency (4xxx Rebel Pilot) by itself?

About the mission, I thought I was stuck in a loop as well, untill I realized i was hitting the wrong option.
Have you been sent to the rebel outpost yet? If so, after you do the first mission for it, you need to select the option for "im looking for a challenge" at that point you get the corvette mission for the x-wing.
If you have not been sent to the rebel outpost, next time you talk to the person in the kashyyyk station(name escapes me right now), after she offers you a job, select "is there anything else to do?" She will send you to the guy on kashyyyk(im bad with names) He may have 1 or 2 missions for you, but eventually he'll send you to the reb outpost.
If you have already done all this, then I guess it is still bugged for some.
