I'm in the market for a new joystick. Right now I use a logitech extreme 3D pro, which is useless as it barely works for turning right. And i can't calibrateit because the logitech wingman always has an error when loading (tried EVERYTHING to fix this).

So, can anybody recommend a decent joystick for under 80 or so dollars. Preferrably not a logitech unless someone can help me figure out this error.

Thanksy thanks.

i have a logitech 3d pro, and sometimes it becomes uncalibrated.

try unplugging the joystick, and turning off your computer.

then wait like 30 seconds.

then, plug the joystick back in and make sure that the stick is standing "straight up", or, nothing is touching it, when you reboot.

it auto-recalibrates everytime you unplug it and plug it back in, so, hopefully that should fix your problem.

let me know if it works?!

I have a Logitech Wingman 3D Digital (or something like that), its a bit steadier than the Pro 3D, better button layout and throttle control IMO, but yeah calibration drifts a little, but I think any joystick will have that problem with use

The calibration on my 3D Pro died fairly quickly, so I decided to try another brand. I went with the Satik Cyborg EVO and after a few months of fairly heavy play I'm still very happy with it.

A friend of mine recommended the Cyborg EVO as well, though I ended up getting the Extreme 3D pro as well. The Cyborg didn't fit either of my hands right (ambidextrous when it comes to joystick use). But you might have better results with it.

I'm using a Saitek CyborgEvo, and I really like it. I was able to adjust all the fittings so it my hand sits in it really well.

I do have to configure it a lot, and I even placed a Shortcut to the 'Game Controllers' icon from Control Panel on my Desktop. I've got into the habit of running through the calibration routine every time I'm about to launch SWG.

Saitek X-45.

Gravis something-or-other ... I have no idea, and could probably buy a similar joystick for $5 if they're even made any more. I really need a new joystick, calibration is fairly shaky and it's no fun drifting to the right when trying to line up a shot on the Vette...

If you're willing to put out some cash then Saitek X52.

chances are nobody is responding because if they have a joystick that is under 80 bucks it is probably the Logitech Extreme Pro 3D. That is what I use and from other threads like this I think it is pretty much the standard.
