doing the neutral pilot profession jabba specific, at the end for master you get to choose reb or imp vette. now correct me on this, but once your done you should be able to switch between rebel and imperial sides. for some reason (i did the rebel vette mission) i am now trapped in kessel on the rebellions side. deep space i can understand having to pick sides. in normal space things are normal everyone except those that i have bad faction (per my pilot affiliation) with are yellow. am i bugged or is ot suppose to be that way.

This is considered the Deep Space Bug. You went to DS in a ship, choose to go in as a Rebel, and from then on were marked as a Rebel when in that ship. It becomes quite the pain in Kessel when you are used to everything being Yellow.The standard fix is to unload-deed-generate-reload the ship. That should get it back to 'neutral' status until the next time you enter DS, of course.
Oh, if you went Smuggler's Alliance (and through Jabba's Palace), then you had no option for the Imp or Reb Corvette, you had to help the Rebels.

Yup and its only related to Kessel due to the change in PvP to PvE status in kessel on standard entry. If you are having problems outside kessel then /bug it and add to the in-live list
