Yeah- I buy all of my stuff froma level two Shipwright at ridiculous prices to help him out, and I doubt that the stuff he makes is the best quality. ANybody know the average mass for a Kimogilla? I don't know if the mass total changes based on resources used or the crafters level or whatever, but if it does have a avriant I would liek to buy another, since I am running outta room on her right now.

Isn't it 90k for the first kimogilas and 108k now after they changed the mass for privateer ships?

I can get up to 109k with grind resources, but resource quality doesnt matter much when crafting chasis, and for the original poster, whatare ridiculous prices?

110K+ mass is good on a Kimo. As for prices, these are what, a 2nd tier ship? Take 30K resources to build? I'd bet every galaxy in the game will have them for sale between 60-120K, then. Chassis are like architect stuff: the sticker price may look huge, but considering what all goes into them, the profit margin's much much lower than you'd expect.
And yeah, Kimos were originally 90K mass, but they got bumped up in that patch a couple months ago, along with all the other privateer ships.

The absolute largest you can get "off" the listed mass is 2.4%.
So, crit fail to zero on mass == 110,000 -(110,000*1.024)
If there were such a thing as "perfect" resources (1000 on HR, DR, OQ, UT, and Malleability) the best that could be done would be
110,000 + (110,000*1.024)

*Grabs another beer*
*checks some crafted chassis mass*

I have seen a slightly larger varience with real good resources, but not too much. I think it might be in the assemble values off of the resource qualities. But those numbers seem right to me..

A 2.5% variance is close to right, but it doesn't fit all the time. For instance, it's higher on A-Wings; there was a thread in the shipwright forum on the max possible crafted mass on them, and when I said the max would be 66,625 (1.025*65K), a few people mentioned chassis they owned that were actually higher than that, suggesting the variance is significantly higher. POB ships clearly don't follow this. However, I know B-Wings do (thanks, crit fail!), and most other ships seem to either follow the formula or come very close to it, so it's a good rule of thumb regardless.
