Okay I Am a Master Pilot doing the Jabba Line of Quests. I have been going into deep Space to just mess around and get some loot. I was annoyed that being a Neutral Pilot on ground and in the air that i do not get any Faction Points in Deep space.

But lately i decided i wanted to go back rebel and make some Faction finally in Deep Space but i ran into a problem.

Now i Joined the ranks of the Rebel army and i boost up into space. now i heard that the only way you make FP in space is by going overt. so i do so at the Rebel space station. Now i figure thats that now i go to my Normal jump in point in dathmire and find out that i can't jump into deep space as a rebel from that point. Okay so no deal i was just making sure i didn't have to go there first.

So i head over to the rebel Deep Space Station i chat with it it gives me the option To go into Deep Space or Kessel. SO i of course Press on Deep Space but he wont let me in. I find out That i need a diffrent type of Perstige point to go into deep space as a neutral pilot. but the thing is i dont know how to get the rebel Perstige points. i only have gotton Pilot perstige ever since i mastered which i ave 4.8 mil of. i even went around killing enemies trying to see what type of perstige i get and it is still Pilot.

So my question is how can i get into Deep Space and get FP as a Neutral Pilot if i can't overt up and go into deep space trough the Rebel Portal if i can't get rebel Perstige? any help would be great.

Edit: And by reading some of the previous posts i take it this is not possible

That's correct, it's not possible. As to whether that's intentional or a flaw in the system, nobody knows, and I'd hope our new correspondent (as soon as we get one) adds this to his/her list of things to ask about.

can you go into deep space as a privateer after going covert again?

and cant you get FP as an overt rebel in normal space? or are you just trying to avoid the decay?

You cant go into deep space until you are a master rebel/imperial/freelancer pilot. It costs 30k prestige points,of which you can only get as a master. Since dropping freelancer, you lose all freelancer pilot xp, including the prestige. To get rebel prestige, you would need to master it first.

sure you can, but deep space has far more ships in it than any other sector so you can get tons of FP very fast.

Ya i liek DS alot better then Kessel to. it is Alot harder then kessel is and it is fun. More enemies and ther eare more People In DS then there are in Kessel.

that is way i was upset that i cant go into DS as an Overt Rebel as a Neutral Pilot. But Kessel is fine to grind FP but it just isn't fun without the masses of fighters in DS.

I believe they are trying to encourage peopel to become part of the GCW.

Frankly, I think this is more of a deterent than an encouragement. I certainly am not going to drop Freelancer to get to Deep Sace and get FP- it took too long for me to MAster, too much cash, and I have spent way too much on my ships (I have a deed to every sing type of ship, including variants) too just drop it for some PVP and faction. When the correspondent is chosen, first thing they need to do is let allships with a set number of Prestiege Points get to Deep Space no matter what.

HOWEVER, that said, I believe that, if you group with a rebel pilot, he can get you in from the Rebel station. Not sure, but that is what I have heard. Same goes for Imperial DeclaredFreelancers at an Imperial Deep Space Station.

So by going to deep space as a covert rebel ground - privateer pilot... you wont get fp? you have to declare yourself as a requirement to get in afterall. meaning the dood askes which side you want to play for before entering.

Yes, but to get FP, you have to be declared from a standard Imperial or Rebel space station, not the one that sends you to Deep Space. Privateers can declare at these stations if they're factioned on the ground, but once you're overt in this way, the neutral Deep Space station won't talk to you--and if you try to go through a factioned Deep Space station, you'll find you don't have the 30K Imperial or Rebel Prestige Points necessary to send you on your way.

ya and anouther thing if you are rebel on the ground you will not be able to go into DS as the opposite faction any more. which takes away the perk of being a Neutral Pilot and it was the only reason i didn't care about not getting FP in space before.

really stinks IMO.
