I know the Gaussian Beam Cannon has a weird visual effect from what I've heard...but is it a good weapon besides that? Note: I am flying a heavy fighter, not a small ship like a JSF or a Bel-22.

Ive heard of a Correlian Beamrail Gauss Cannon, but not that one. All reward items are defined my what you re them with, so without that info i really cant tell you if its good or not.

The stats are random. It REs with L10 weapons. The effect is a red chevron. It's one of the choice weapons for RE, along with the Incom Trandoshan Special Repeater Cannon.

i have 2 of these cannons on my Firespray and it looks cool and they sound like aheavy thunderstorm . Both are re-engineered and both have max. Dam of 4.7k and 43K mass. I love them

Sounded good to me...my goal was to get a Firespray sometime in the future too, so if it works for someone, then I'm sure I can get it to work for me. Now all I have to do is get them.
