Weapons are pretty much the only exceptions to the "odd levels suck" rule.

But I admit I'm flying a Heavy X for pve farming, and being used to an A-Wing, I have a LOT of spare mass haha. I've just been runnin 2 crafted quickshot 9s and a RE 8 I had sitting around, but going through my weapons bag I found a managerie of level 9 loot weapons, that if I re'd would GREATLY exceed every stat on my level 9 crafteds.

WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS BEFORE?

If you are beating the level 9 crafted fire rate of around .260 with a RE, then you've got a winner.

Haven't personally seen an L9 much lower than about the .29x range. Still, we're not talking about a whole hell of a lot of difference between .26x and .29x - it's still three shots per second regardless - only when you hit .250 is it something to celebrate.

.300 (rounded up or down) is pretty much cherry for an REed weapon - shipwrights have to have SOMETHING working in their favor.

So far my post RE refire is at .270, which is respectable, especially considering a boost of 500dmg, .3 against shields/armor, lower e/s, lower mass, lower red.

.270 is exceptional. I'm going to have to start looking at that stat a little closer. Seems like I have a level 9 kicking around somewhere that had a really nice stat on it that spared it from the chassis dealer. Can't remember what it was, but pretty sure it wasn't refire rate.

I've just always ignored level 9 everything. Started lookin, and comparing to my crafted, and I went *DOH*
