So,I just got my 8th ace, andI wanted to waste some time in DS beforeI dropped for the final grind. SoI load up my ADV-X and head out there. WhenI get thereI see some tool killing the Star Destroyer, but no one else in the sector soI just sit back and watch for a little. He gets vaped on the 2nd one that jumps in. Good ridance. I go in and kill a few of the TIE spawns andI hit 'Z'. This is where the fun starts. It tracks on an IMP (I really wish i could remember his name), andI look at the screen for just a second andI think it's an Oppressor, so I head in with my thumb on the chaff launcher hoping he doesn't have all 3 missles loaded. Well,Ilook again and it's an interceptor, soI get ready for some real spinning. We get to several hundred meters and guess whatI see...that damn red. SoI think 'great, I'm in my big ass ADV-X, and he's in the ****ing RGI.' Well we go around a few times, me shooting and trying to get a lock on, when he shoots his missle first, completely takes out my back shields and most of my rear armor. I do a quick CtSS, and right whenI thinkI have a missle lock BLAM my blasters kill him in one shot. I'm still kinda wearing off the adrenline. This was also my first solo PvP, the only other thing I've done was in a big thing on my server, andI really sucked then. I guess either I got really lucky or the 8 ace grinds are paying off.

X-Wing does have a big weapons spread, kind of like a shotgun.

There was a thread about the spread (poet and didn't...)on here awhile back, and not sure if it was ever proven, but i think all ships fire from the center line. And even if it is like a shotgun, it's still hard to hit that bugged hitbox. I really wish they'd fix that.

Facts:
1. Yep, weapon spread is a myth. The X-wing is not a shot gun even if graphically it appears to be.I've unfortunately lost the thread with the evidence proving 'weapon spread' on JTLS ships to be this myth.
2. You did well to kill that guy and I /salute you. I seen x-wings can be good against those things at times and the punch they deliver will one shot one most of the time.
