Thread: another Bel question

I'm trying to pour thru all the hits i got on search for the Bel, and there are alot of them. I have a couple questions that i haven't found the answers for yet, maybe i just haven't found the right threads.
1) can you fly the Bel if you haven't done the quest for it? I thought i remembered seeing that you could but now i can't find that thread again.
2) if anyone has ever purchased a Bel what is an average price you have seen asked? I know servers will vary but just wondering.
3) what box can you start flying it? I know this should be easy to find but i'm not finding it. It's probably someplace obvious I'm sure.

1) Yes.
2) I found one for 36k on my server but that might've been a misplaced zero... 
They seem to range from 75k (not very often) to 150k + on Scylla. I haven't done a vendor search recently, though. I do know there used to be quite a few on there for 300k +.

While fun to use, especially grinding against Tier 3/4 and the occasional Tier 5, I prefer to use the heavier fighters most of the time. I know I'm getting old (35) but flying a Bel-22 with Engine Overload 3 makes me feel like a 3yr old on meth.
/sigh The reflexes are the first to go...

You just need to have the ...has 5 badges badge, so if it won't let you deed it when you get one, hit a few POIs, but most people who have been playing for a while even accidentally hit a few badges...

You can pick them up for around 500k avg on valcyn, maybe cheaper if you look around...

You can fly it at 4xxx pilot, same time as when you can fly the A wing (I presume you're a rebel pilot

The Bel is nice for PvE, but as many people will tell you, try out the other ships, they have their uses as well

look in the bizarre vendor search onder /misc i found 1 for 50k avg price on my sever is 250k-500k for 1
i think we willsee the price for these go down the are tons on my server for sell.

Most of the questions have been answered, but you didn't say what server you're on, so I thought I'd chime in and say that about 400k is the average price on Corellia. I've seen them more than that, and less than that, but it's about average.
If you can get in a group of jedi, the Nercosis mission where you can loot it isn't that hard (the jedi do all the real work, and everyone else is supporting fire)
I really love the ship, but it does depend on your fighting style. It's very much a small and fast dogfighter type, and is really good at it (same stats as the jedi starfighter, only it's bigger)

last time I looked (which was about a month ago) they were 100k to 500k with and average of about 200k on starsider
