They're built by shipwrights. You'll probably have to custom order one since no SWs seem interested in building them (at least on my server).

They are hard to keep in stock due to high value to pilots and asteroid resource requirements.

I build them all the time, because they're a chassis I can actually sell. Problem is I can't keep them in stock.

If you came to your favourite Shipwright with 1000 Units of Iron Asteroid and 1000 Units of Space Petrochemical, I'm sure (s)he'd hook you up real nice. (Standard ground resources extra, 'natch.)

Im curious to how good the heavy z95 is compared to either the y-wing or the w-wing lp?? personally id prefer the manuverability of the z95 but as im about to get xwing cert is it worth it? or infact am i actually certified for the heavy z95???

Gotta love being a newbie!

Two reasons. Yours, and that I'd fathom the Devs kinda look at JTL as a way to keep newbies interested past Day 31, so it behooves them to introduce something to make the grind easier/more enjoyable.

Space past Ace is a credit farm, and sooner or later, the offshore credit sweatshops are going to find this out...and space will be populated by a lot of people making 20 cents an hour.

Basically each faction has a "Heavy" version of its tier 0 ship. For the most part, these ships are more than you could possibly need till about tier 4(where only having 1 gun starts to chafe).

They are neither realistic(within SW) nor balanced for their level, however, thats not the point.
