good spot for lower tier pilots is kashyyk
ther mercenary convoys, the three ships that looks like letter t's
to do this is easy target the long of the three in the convoy
fly right up to it and get in between its wings target weapons then open fire, remember to keep matching speed cause if leave blind spot or agro it before in blind spot those guns can kill lvl9 equipment easy
once all three guns gone just fire to it blows, then other two ships in convoy are unarmed so like shooting fish in a barrel
all three ships are like 5k xp a piece give good cash and decent loot
time to complete depends on your weapons with right weapons you can take all three ships in a minute
thats 15k xp a minute not bad
just pray aint higher pilots hunting those at same time

If your looking for flying XP to work on being a better pilot then the destroy duty missions your trainer gives out is probably the best place to go. It usually starts out where you fight 1 or 2 NPC, but by the end you could be up to your ears in NPC fighters swarming all over you.
In general, learn to fly in your profession's worst-handling ship and the skill WILL carry over into the better ships...
They're usually Tier 2s with a Tier 3 "boss" thrown in for flavour. Not super hard, but if you're having difficulty as a pilot, not bad training.
The Destroy missions from your trainers are good as well, as others in this thread have suggested.

heres a good spot in kashyyk
if you look at space map go to top right corner
theres a deci mator there, its one of the rodian protector guilds you will find swams of z-95's
they are around tier 4-5 they pretty easy to kill great xp good expirience good loot good credits
and did i mention non agrod they fly in wings of three and attacking a wing only agro's that wing
