Thread: Changes since JTL launch

I played during Beta, then for about a month or so after launch. At the time my guild broke up so I lost all of my wingmates, became discouraged, and quit playing. I came back after a few months and started flying regularly, and have been for...um...a long time now. BUT - there's this big gap in my memory and I'm trying to piece together some of the changes. For example:

- Chassis dealers started buying parts. Man, that woulda been nice at launch.

- Some programs were added - can anyone specify which ones?

- Were NPC missile launchings tuned down?

Anything else? Not bugs, but specific changes to the game, all pre-RotW.

The chassis dealers buying parts came within a couple months of launch, I was around for the Beta, and left the game in early December last year, by then, people were selling their parts. It was bugged, of course, L10 parts were only selling for 500 credits, IIRC.

I don't remember when Cap to Shield Shunt and Capacitor Overload were introduced, but I believe they were also ingame, just not well used or understood, before I left in December.

Capacitor to Shield shunt and Capacitor overload were added to give the freelancers a better amount of programs.

I think they've changed "some" squadron mission waypoints to be less likely to agro "static" mobs.

Other than what was said already: various missions handed out by spacestations depending on faction, the ability (or mission to unlock this ability) to land at the emperor's retreat, jabbas palace or the abandoned rebel base on dantooine (depending naturally also on faction and the pilot squad you fly for).

Freelancers got a new ship, the M-22T Krayt Gunship

That's all I can think about.

This happened during beta, I did not notice any change to NPC missile damagepotential ever since JTL went live.

Amonth or two after launch, pvp went to 25% reduction in damage.

You don't need to burn programs to chips to program your droid (although you can trade programs by doing so).

They've added new elite components for POB ships.

With ROTW, they added asteroid mining and the red / blue boxes for the space UI

With publish 24, they added new hit and exposion graphics (undocumented)

NPC AI and density has been twiddled around a bit over time. E.g jousting NPCs

Crafted engine speed buffs, crafted capacitor buffs. I remember when crafted capacitors were worth crap.

They did nerf the missiles you got from the NPC reloader though. You use to be able to get 8k damage missiles from that thing, but they nerfed the damage way down about a month after launch and then a few months later, re-nerfed them to a percentage of whatever you had loaded in there before.

I remember collision damage. I didn't have a great engine and had no clue about parts or droid commands and it used to anger me that the npcs did more damage to me by running into me then with thier guns. Not sure when that got taken out.
