I've been hitting some spots in Dantooine and Dathomirwhere teir 4 and 5 ships have been spawning. I usually get anywhere from 3500 to 8k xp per kill, depending on the ship and level.

Black Sun ships, Clan Witchblood ships, and Death Watch ships all seem to give pretty good xp.

I mostly did Duty missions. I switched between doing the endless waves of fighters or the endless escort mission to avoid boredom. Once the change Kessel (or if you don't mind risking being ganked) I'd say go there. Everything there is Tier 5 and gives you 6-8k XP, but they take longer to kill and you have to make sure you don't drift out of the spawn areas or you'll be hunting around for targets.

Well I know the tier 4 duty missions for rebs are pretty good. For me at least 1 duty mission= 1 box of exp. For example I trained my first tier 4 box, did the mission that was required and got maybe 70k exp toward my next box. Then did the duty mission and after completing all the waves had the 1 million exp for the next box. This did take about 4 hours give or take (between taking little breaks here and there to smoke, get a drink, ect) Toward the end of the duty mission you are fighting anywhere from 8-10 ships a wave which can be pretty fun. Just my exp.

Hi there your Post is real good, just one more thing. I am a Reb Pilot 3/3/3/3 and I have to grind up to get 1 Million Xp in every box. Long grind ! there are these endless missions from where you can choose out of 4 different ones. but I get my A** handed to me because my X-Wing has not a good Capasitator and my weapon drains faster then a icecream in the sun ! Could you please tell me what weapons to use (LVL ?) and if I reach Tier 4 aka 4444 which skill should I take first hereby I mean 4/X/X/X or should I take trining in X/4/X/X ?? please can you answer these questions and maybe other can take profit out of your help too !

I'm a privateer pilot 3/3/3/3, and I have been grinding on missions and in Dantooine. I find that the first skill you should take is always the next level of components, that way you can upgrade you ship with better gear.(It is very tempting to get that next ship though) Also Kessel is home to a bunch of PvP's so either be very cautious, or take friends. Also if you are having trouble with your missions, take a group. As long as you shoot each target once, you get the full xp for it.

If you are having problems with your capacitor, fire in short bursts, and look for a new one with both a higher output in energy, and a higher recharge rate. If you are in a guild, or a guild master, suggest a space hunt, to run peoples missions, that way you have friends at your back, you get the missions and the xp.

First, you will need a good capacitor. Preferably with about 1000 energy with at least a mid 30 recharge. If you can find one that has a rechargeover 40 get it.

Next get some speed-limited weapons. I would stay away from 2 advanced weapons as they can drain a cap pretty quick even if they are speed limited. A single advanced and a heavy would probably be a good mix if you have multiple energy weapon hard points.

As to training, don't bother with x-4-x-x until the last block. Unless you have alot of great cert level 8 loot. You won't be able to use MARK V/experimental weapons until master. I would get the chassis upgrade first.

Since you say that your capacitor isn't too good, you probably want to shop around the loot vendors or just start killing masses of tier 2-3 spawns to try and get a new one.

For the best capacitors, make friends w/ a Shipwright and have him Reverse Engineer one out of looted parts for you.

Um... I suck. I think I can manage maybe 200k in about 2 hours.

I think I need better weapons.

Thx M8

I have a capasitator in the lvl 5 I think have to look it up but since I fly a X-Wing with 2 weapons it drains real fast (weapons in the 1600 range) should or do I need to get an A-Wing ??? I hate those ugly as hell and no Mass !

Unless you're Rebel. Go 4333 w/o a doubt. An A-Wing with even lv6 compos will still tear up an X-Wing w/ lv 8. The A-Wing makes the grind go MUCh faster (2x as fast for me so far)...
