Is it me...or does anyone notice that Kessel has the lowest Mob Density and Spawn Rate then the rest of the space zones?....are there ANY plans to fix this at all?

Welcome to the jungle..or, erm...lack of it . Yeh, Kessel isn't that dense really. Not sure why but /shrug. Quirky I suppose.

Kessel used to be beautiful. Spawns so thick your machine could barely render them all. Massive hundred-plus ship clouds.

Now it's awful. One ship used to be ignored to find another mecha-Godzilla-sized spawn. Now one ship is worth zeroing in on in the NEW Kessel.

shh. thats SOE balancing for you.

i have noticed tho, that during peak hours, on lowca, kessel does seem to spawn a bit more than usual. especially around 30 mins before the corvettes spawn

Kessel, being higher end content should have lots of spawns, like DS when it's been allowed to have the spawns mount up some only minus the ISD of laggifying doom death. Now I'm not saying 'hey make kessel pvp enabled' again because I know that one was flogged to death months ago but, I do feel it needs more spawns. /shrug.

I've always had this hunch that Kessel has been left rather sparsely populated in preparation for somthing bigger such as GCW in space maybe or some kind of boardable sation. I mean, it feels like the POB situation. POBs have always had more mass than you can physically use (and still do) so I was wondering what modifications they might make to them. Maybe Kessel is the same.

Saying that..this is an MMO so that goes for everything. Nothing is rigid.

In the early days, and even up until the CU, there was always something unpredictable about Kessel. Often it would be like it is now--pretty empty, pretty sparse, etc. However, a few people have theorized that the Freedom Station in Deep Space acts like a "switch" to trigger Kessel over into an overload form.

People who have been in Kessel during overload know what it's like--massive numbers of both types of NPC spawns, multiple corvettes for both sides (I've seen six corvettes in Kessel at the same time), and Tier 5 Black Sun fighters in place of those pirate X-wings and Kimogilas that spawn.

That theory about the Rebel station being the "switch" is supported by the fact that no one has seen an overload since the CU, which bugged Freedom Station so it can't be destroyed. It's still all theory, though--it could very well be something else that we're missing, or maybe the devs disabled overloading Kessel for server-side reasons. We don't know, but *something* has definitely changed, because we no longer see it.
