Thread: Why doesn't the guildwar flag transfer to space?
Then envision them camping his homeplanet's launch site.
I like the system the way it is. You declare, and you have no right to moan if you die.

envision a guild knowing a certain member of an enemy guild frequents a particular city, then envision them camping the shuttle.... sorry, i'm missing your point.
this is a guild war, and one people voluntarily sign up for. don't like it? hey don't guildwar, it's exactly the same as on the ground with no differences whatsoever.
there's not even a clone camp decay concern, as you can always land in your spawn window. (fyi you can't load kill in JTL anymore unless someone has a really slow machine. you get a few seconds of immortality when you load into a zone.)
so what "system" do you like? the system in which guildwar is functional on the ground but not in space? you're advocating guild warring being non functional in one place but not the other? because?
Tomo, is there any way we could find out if this is intended or a defect?

Would be interesting if it did. say add a pvp invulnerable timer to it when you die, so they cant gank you upon respawn.... kinda like when you clone.... oh wait.. nm.
there actually is a timer, but it would rapidly expire if someone was camping you, it's not a huge deal though, unless they sat there and waited for you to repair, and you obliviously did so over and over. if you are doing that, imo you probably want to rethink the guildwar. you can land pretty easily in the immortality window of a few seconds you get after you load.
and if you aren't a fan of any decay whatsoever, hey.. there's always saying no to the guildwar, there's always putting that once piece of equipment away for the duration of the war, etc. etc.
We've got literal clone camping on ground-based guildwars, so I don't really see how space would be any worse.. except for the whole decay thing. Still, nobody's forced into a guildwar. Your guild has to opt in in the first place, and once you do, you can /guildremove at any time until the war's over.
Given all that, I'd like to see the option to extend guildwars to space--though what might be really nice is if there were war options for ground-only, space-only, and both. That way, you could have a safe side if you wanted--but if all bets are off, there's still the option for total war.

I personally think that, since the space game is so detached from the ground game, they simply didn't even think about such an option.
Would be great if it was there, though, it might allow a lot of quite fun PvPing/RP, especially for us Freelancers.
