I have just managed to get the Y8 mining ship, is there a way to be able to solo mine? if so with what equipment and placed where to avoid the bugs?

any advice is appreciated

Honestly.. If you are going to Solo mine, do so in a TIE/Op, B-Wing, Heavy X-Wing, or Krayt (? sorry not up on my Freelance ships). I tried solo mining in my Y8, just to see if I could... it's not worth the trouble from what I could tell.

ok thanks for the info, i have been using a krayt for mining but hoped the y-8 would be better

The Y-8 is still so incredibly bugged, you can't actually mine with it at all.
