Anyone else getting this?

Taking missions off the Trandoshian slavers - go get a freighter and escort- the other one, escort a cargo back.

So normal routine - go out - get to waypoint disable frieghter, but then it get swierd, I can't shoot the fighter escort, getting the "can't shoot" tone when I hit them. Happened on both missions - completed them anyway by just sitting behind the escort and taking the majority of the fire - guess they couldn't shoot me either.

Any Idea how I get round this?
