Thread: Nova admin bug

I just got my very first YT-1300 the other day and have the exact same problem. I alos just qualified for the yacht reward so I took it up the other day as well and had the same problem with it. So apparently, all multiplayer ships must be bugged at this point. I sent in a /bug ticket. I hope they fix this soon as I'm having a blast flying the YT with a crew, but as you said, it's a pain.

same problem here just got my nova yesterday, however a few days ago I had the same problem with a pa hall, thought it was just me.

Sorry if this is already listed somewhere. I didn't see it on a search.
I pulled my nova out of mothball yesterday, setting it up for a couple guildmates. However, immediately discovered that I cannot add anyone to the admin list, though it isn't a total game breaker, it is a big hinderance to crewing. I can add a name via cmd line or the terminal, however they don't go on the list. I just heard today of another nova pilot having this issue, but he wasn't on, so no further details. No response from CSR's. (imagine).
Any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

Noted. I'd like to see about eliminating some of these ancient bugs after all the new stuff's added, so I'll include it in any list we put together for that.

I wouldn't call it ancient Tomo, admin lists on POBs were working fine until a patch or two ago. Wish I could be more specific than that, butI wasn'tin a situation to notice until about2 weeks ago. I do know it was working fine a couple months ago though. Both manual addition and '/setpermission admin name' worked like a charm.

Hmm.. now that you mention it, I do remember adding people to admin in my YT-1300. But with the exception of a couple days mastering RSF, I haven't been a privateer since December, which should tell you something (mostly unpleasant) about the utility of POBs.
Can anyone help pin down when this started popping up? Could have been when they upped the ship item limit to 100, I suppose; having a hard time thinking of any other changes that would have a logical link to this.

I actually think it was closer to the time they brought TC-prime down for Rotw testing. There was that last largish publish, and something in it or one of its hotfixes may have done it. Something in my gut says it happened the same time our alarms were reset to "Default Appearance" Icons. Not that the two are linked, but it was the last biggish publish on live.

It's happened in the last two-three weeks or so, can't be exact. Before this there was a brief stint where the admin list would be cleared, but you could still add people to it. Now, obviously, you can't do either.

No insight, other than this bug affects my Nova and Decimator.

Well I got a reply from a CSR on my ticket last night. Their recommendation is to redeed the ship. *snorts* since I just generated it 2 days ago, I'm discounting that suggestion. lol. waiting on their next response.
heh kind of reminds me of a bad tech department I used to have to deal with. Their knee-jerk answer was always reboot or reformat. Now whilst I agree a fresh boot can clear a lot of problems, a reformt is a bit harsh. Call me conservative, maybe I just don't like change. /sarcasm off. <--- Naaaahhhhh. lol

I've had the same problem with my yacht, been that way since JTL's launch. I've had my YT for over 2 months now, same thing.
I filed a ticket, CSR said to re-deed and try it again. I re-deeded several times with each... nope, doesn't fix squat.
