Thread: Are there ships that drop different items or is it totally random....e.g

I am imperial looking for weapons, is there a ship to destroy that would more frequently drop weapons as opposed to armor? also looking for engines? I randomly destroy whatever spawns while mining, and I get armor, reactors from Dunelizards and z-95's, I indiscriminently kill anything that will lock. BUt weapons are the thing that seem to be dropped the least. I have managed to RE a boltdriver with stats around 1900-3200, 25 energy 10k mass, and a RE8 that is more potent then any experimental blaster and a 23k mass, 2500-3600, .671 shields and armor. But I am tired of hunting bazaars and things for these, rather blow things up for them. But tired of getting level 8 and 9 engines in deep sapce. Where do they come from ....ahhhhhhhhh!

Yes and no, the part drops are random however some ships give out named parts based on the model of ship you took out. You'll find Incom parts on X-Wings and the like.

That being the case, looking for a boltdriver and HT weapons wishg I could remeber there names., happen to know who makes those ships?

I get alot of my lvl 8 loot from tier3 spawns, and actually most of my best loot from em.
Tier4s and 5s seems to have a more frequent drop of lvl 10 stuff but tier3s also drop em.
Ivary alot between tier 4 and tier3, Tier4 destroyer dutys and tier3 spawns should give you what you look for.
Ive had very limited luck from tier5s both in Kessel and DS. The tier5 spawn of fighterdroids in endor is an exeption tho (great fun aswell).
I dont know much about the kashyyyk stuff yet.

The bolt driver was given to you by your trainer, the only way to get another is to master another Imperial pilot profession.
When you were told that the name thing was general, that's all it is, is general. Imperials drop Sienar parts, rebels drop Incom, nothing more specific than that.

Well thank you very much, I am looking specifically for and level 8 RE weapons or weapons to be RE'd I need a couple sevens as well but I don't see to many drops of them. Who makes the Kryat, and Kimo, what companies. I have no idea where to do the research on what I wanna hit. Also to master another IMP squadron, do I have to drop all my ACE certifications and start over again, acan Iu redo the inquisitor missions?

Look, you're not getting it. Item names don't matter in RE, so don't get so hung up on that. You asked if there were mobs that dropped weapons more than other kinds of part and there arent. You just need to be persistent. The info about item names was given to you, because some people look for specific names and effects when looting, and that's the best way to get them, but when you just need8 lvl 8 guns or 7 lvl 7 guns, then there's not much you can do to increase your chances, other than to focus on mobs of the correct tier (4 or 5)

I undertsand th re part of it, I truly do. I know it doesn't matter, and not getting hung up on the names. Tier 4-5 I all I needed to know for them, I will hunt tierfour and fives. Off to Kessel to mine I guess, two birds one stone.
